About
Hove is a fantastic town situated right next to Brighton – The Gay Capital of Britain – and is a brilliant place for a night out. You may not be able to find many gay bars in Hove but you can pop across to Brighton for a night out where there are plenty of gay bars and gay friendly bars.
Hove gay bars and few and far between and the only one that is specifically a Hove gay bar is a place called The Bedford Tavern which is located on Western Street. This Hove gay bar is a great place to go with your friends and offers a wide range of entertainments and great food. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and the pub is about 200 years old now.
As Brighton is just around the corner and Hove gay bars are pretty slim pickings then you might consider travelling to Brighton for the evening where there are plenty of gay bars and clubs available. Hove gay bars are pretty much inexistent but in Brighton there are several gay bars and clubs including Candy Bar, Café 22 and Dr Brighton’s all of which are fantastic gay venues.
Hove’s gay scene is pretty much taken up by neighbouring Brighton so the lack of gay bars in Hove is not such a big deal. You can get to Brighton from Hove in about 4 minutes on the train so it really can be a great night out in Brighton if you are looking for gay bars in Hove.
